This is the latest in our series of fundraising auctions of CDs and DVDs signed by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd in April 2020. He has generously donated these CDs and DVDs to Newham Bookshop and The Wanstead Tap so that we can raise funds for local charities which are helping vulnerable people in Newham during the coronavirus crisis.

The earlier auctions were held on Twitter and then on Ebay, but we’d now like you to join us for a live-streamed auction hosted by Dan Clapton of The Wanstead Tap.

Live-streamed fundraising auction of a signed Pink Floyd CD

The Dark Side of the Moon, signed by David Gilmour in April 2020

The CD sleeve is better than these photos indicate. However, the front of the sleeve has slight chafing top left.

The Dark Side of the Moon is the pinnacle of 70s studio rock and the defining statement of Pink Floyd’s second incarnation. Expanding upon the sonic experimentations of Meddle, and Echoes in particular, Pink Floyd combines blues rock structures with progressive rock instrumentation and jazz flourishes to create a rich blend of atmospheric music. This is a unique and unforgettable album that demands uninterrupted listening and hurls you into a timeless and surreal trip. The record also has one of the most iconic titles and identifiable covers, which are embedded in popular culture and perfectly match the spacey and mysterious feel of the music.
